The Whole World in View

Since 1989, the NTK has been working on the network of UNESCO Associated Schools.
The following activities are carried out by the UNESCO working group:

  • Aid projects
  • Topics projects and project days
  • Exchange projects
  • World Heritage
  • Integration of foreign students
  • Volleyball tournament

The UNESCO working group of the NTK is headed by Anna Katharina Häussling.

In 2001 this work was awarded the Peace Pillar Award.

An Example Exchange Project with Portugal

In a Comenius language project of NTK and the Escola Secundaria de Sa da Bandeira in Santarem (Portugal), students from both schools  deal with a mutual exchange of information on the topic “Importance of organic and conventional wine production in the regions Ribatejo (Portugal) and German Wine Route (D) – wine production and marketing “.
